  1. Take a Bath– While a regular hot bath will get your circulation working better, try soaking in a spice bath. Crush and mix one teaspoon of each of the following together and add them to a hot tub full of water: cumin, ginger, cayenne pepper, black pepper, cinnamon, oregano, sage, and rosemary. Alternatively, you can soak lavender leaves in cold water overnight and then add them to hot bath water. This will both warm your body and relax your mind for a great night’s sleep.
  2. Drink Tea– Steep one teaspoon each of ground cinnamon and ground clove in three cups of hot water and drink one cup whenever you feel cold. If this doesn’t sound appealing, green tea is known to open up blood vessels so drinking a cup of green tea, with a teaspoon of ginger, will improve the circulation to your hands and feet and warm them up.
  3. Garlic– Garlic is one of the oldest remedies for cold hands and feet as it improves circulation. If your hands and feet are frequently cold, eating several cloves of garlic regularly will help keep your circulation on track and your body warm.
  4. Hot Peppers– Eating hot peppers tricks your body into thinking it is in pain. This then sends messages from your brain that cause your core temperature to rise, warming your hands and feet. This is especially helpful when you also have a sinus problem or chest congestion as the pepper helps thin the mucus and relieve any congestion.
  5. Acupressure– There are pressure points on your body that directly connect with every organ in your body. To warm your hands, use your thumb to place pressure at the place between your thumb and first finger for 2-5 minutes. Change hands and repeat. For your feet, the pressure point is between your big toe and the next one. Use your thumb to place continuous pressure for 2-5 minutes on each foot. This action helps release any blockages in the blood circulation and returns the flow to your hands and feet, warming them.
